We’re so excited to invite you to join us for Building Immunity Naturally, an online workshop hosted by Yoga Body Elements and the Uptown Wellness Festival, Chicago. It will take place on Monday, November 3rd at 8 p.m. CST on Zoom — and we can’t wait to share this session with you!
After the wonderful response to our last event, we’re thrilled to return and bring you more practical tips and insights from Ayurveda, yoga, and conscious living — things we’ve learned through both our training and our own life experiences.

A Little About Us
We are a husband-and-wife team dedicated to helping people live healthier, more conscious, and balanced lives. Through Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, and plant-based nutrition, we guide people toward practices that really work — in body, mind, and spirit.
We like to say:

We also founded Purple Sprout Café & Juice Bar and Purple Sprout Conscious Organics, where we shared whole vegan and raw food lifestyles in Chicagoland for 8 challenging but wonderful years.
Even though our family follows a 95% raw vegan lifestyle, we welcome everyone to our workshops — whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or omnivorous. Ayurveda is versatile, and we meet you where you are.

What You’ll Learn
In this workshop, we want to do more than talk theory. We want to show you practical tools you can start using right away to build immunity, energy, and emotional balance.
Here’s a peek at what we’ll cover:
Ayurvedic and yogic cleansing techniques — neti (nasal cleansing), gargling, and more to strengthen respiratory health and help ward off seasonal viruses.
Ojas — the Ayurvedic essence of vitality, resilience, and inner radiance that supports strong immunity.
Nutrition, herbs, and routines to naturally build ojas.
Seasonal Ayurvedic recipes, including a live demo of vegan golden milk, so you can make it at home both delicious and medicinal.
Adaptogenic herbs, spices, and oils to support your immune system through winter.
Yoga, meditation, and self-massage practices to maintain emotional balance and prevent “winter blues.”

Bridging East and West
One of the things that makes our approach unique is combining Eastern and Western perspectives on health. Doctor Nature has a background in Western medicine, trained as a physician’s assistant and registered nurse. Over time, he explored Eastern healing practices to address the root causes of disease, not just the symptoms.
“Western medicine is excellent for acute care and surgery, but often misses deeper imbalances. Ayurveda and Oriental medicine helped me see the body and mind as one — giving answers that modern science is only starting to rediscover.”

Doctor Nature trained in the SVA lineage (Shaka Vansya Ayurveda), an ancient and subtle branch of Ayurveda that focuses on prana (life force) rather than just doshas:
“When prana flows well, doshas naturally balance. Ayurveda is the mother of all natural medicines — even traditional Chinese medicine has its roots here.”
Irina is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and a plant-based chef, bringing practical tools for movement, mindful living, and nutrition to every workshop.
Together, we bring living wisdom, not just academic knowledge, cultivated through years of personal transformation, family life, and community work.
Our Personal Journey
Irina says: "Before I turned 30, my health was declining — physically and mentally. Through meditation, plant-based food, and conscious lifestyle changes, I restored my vitality. That experience became the foundation of our mission: helping others heal from the inside out."

As parents of two teenage boys, we’ve applied these principles to family wellness, teaching ways to strengthen immunity and emotional balance for both adults and children.
